What is the leak test?
This torrent leak test is provided by bash.ws, it checks to see if your VPN is leaking your real IP address. Most torrent clients do not bind to your VPNs IP address by default, and may bypass the VPN, using your real IP address.
How does this test work?
This tests works by having you download a .torrent file to your computer. You can then open that file with your torrent client, then see if it is leaking.
My VPN is leaking! What do I do?
If you are using qBittorrent, uBittorrent, or others, go to Settings > Advanced, and change the “Network interface” (usually the second option) to match your VPN. The network interface should have the name of your VPN in it. Afterwards, check here again to see if it is still leaking.
For other non-bittorrent based clients, search online to find how to change your network interface.
